Asian dating in the desert: China’s beauties

If you’ve met someone through an Asian dating website and things are working out, chances are you might be headed to China to meet in person at some point.  China is a beautiful country with varied terrain, including several spectacular deserts.

Chinese deserts are not to be missed, especially if you enjoy natural wonders.  You might have already heard of the Gobi desert, but there are plenty of other deserts worth visiting.  Here are some of the most beautiful deserts in China:

·       Shapotou Desert in Ningxia.  Situated on the north shore of the Yellow River, this desert consists mostly of sand slopes that are reminiscent of waterfalls.  It is ideal to visit the Shapotou during the summer and fall months.

·       Badain Jaran Desert in Inner Mongolia.  This desert lies about 1,700 meters above sea level and spans almost 50,000 square kilometers.  It’s the third largest desert in China and features mountains, sprawling sand, lakes, springs and temples.  It is especially beautiful between May and October.

·       Taklimakan Desert in Xinjiang.  This is China’s largest desdert and features shifting sand dunes.  The dune shapes change unpredictably, although there are two giant red and white dunes that take their shape and color from nearby sedimentary rocks.  It is best to visit between autumn and spring, with mid-November being particularly magical.

·       Gurbantunggut Desert in Xinjiang.  China’s second largest desert, situated in the center of the Dzungarian Basin, is the largest fixed and semi-fixed desert in existence.  There you’ll find oases, smooth sand, and even manmade wonders.  It can be visited any time of year.

If you’ve never been to China and Asian dating leads you to the country, be sure to visit at least one of these impressive deserts!

Love Asian dating and tea? Visit Hangzhou

Guys interested in Asian dating don’t typically start out with a love for tea, but sometimes an interest in tea blossoms from the experience. There is one place in China that is iconic as far as tea-drinking goes: Hangzhou.

Hangzhou is the capital of the Zhejiang province and is also known as the “capital of tea.” The city is home to the renowned Dragon Well, or Longjing, green tea and offers one of the most authentic tea-drinking experiences in all of China.

If the Asian dating romance is going well, there could soon be a trip to China, and Hangzhou is not to be missed, especially if you are interested in tea. The place is picturesque, offering a glittering lake and a sprawling landscape. Don’t miss the scenic trails, woodsy paths and a number of historical and cultural spots to visit.

Whatever you do when visiting Hangzhou, be sure to enjoy the tea. Longjing tea is grown only in this region and is one of the few teas to ever have been granted an “Imperial Tea” status during the Qing Dynasty. The leaves are handpicked and roasted almost immediately, which prevents the natural fermentation and oxidation processes.

The delicate tea leaves produce a yellow-green color and a subtle, smooth flavor. The tea has been shown to be rich in vitamin C, aid in digestion and offer a number of other health benefits. Aside from drinking plenty of Dragon tea while in Hangzhou, be sure to also check out the National Tea Museum, the Meijiawu Tea Plantation, and the area’s many fabulous tea houses.

Giving gifts to Chinese girls

If you have been dating Chinese girls for any period of time, you might have picked up on the notion that gift-giving is a pretty big deal in the Chinese culture, and it’s a little bit different than the way things are done in the West.

In the West, it is often the thought that counts when giving a gift and not the actual value of the present itself. In many cases in China, however, the value does come into play. This can be challenging for many guys, but don’t let this scare you away from dating Chinese women or buying them gifts. The truth is that for most modern women, the thought really does count!

Gifts can be categorized into two groups: those for special occasions and those that can be given at any time. Chinese girls love to receive gifts, especially those that come as a surprise. Surprises mean that you have been thinking about them. Things like scarves and flowers are great surprise gifts.

If you really want to make an impression, go for the gold, and that could mean literally. However, the good news is that you don’t have to invest in expensive jewelry to impress her if it’s out of your budget. Many American products such as perfume, cosmetics and clothing are incredibly expensive in China, so if you send her some small items that don’t seem like such a big deal in the U.S., she might be completed wowed.

Talking traditional sports with Asian women

The first thing you should know about Asian women is that not all of them are delicate little China dolls. In fact, many of them love sports, especially traditional Chinese sports. If you like to talk sports with your girlfriend, it might help to learn a little bit about Chinese athletics.

China has a long, rich history, so it makes sense that the country would have its own unique and traditional sports. Remember that China is a vast country, so many traditional sports are regional.

Nearly every traditional Chinese sport has its basis in productive activities like shooting and horseback riding. However, dancing, singing and instrumental performances are incorporated into the sports, thus giving them an artistic feel. Maybe that’s why Asian women tend to be big fans of their native sports.

Here is a list of some traditional Chinese sports you might want to check out:

  • Firework Catching.
  • Tug-of-War.
  • Bamboo Pole Dance.
  • Lion Dance.
  • Horse Racing.
  • Top-Spinning.
  • Martial Arts.
  • Dragon Boat Racing.

There are many festivals throughout the year in China, and sports, like many other cultural practices, that are often at the center of the festivities.

If you think your Asian girlfriend might be interested in sports, just ask her about it. You might be interested to hear what she has to say. Perhaps she can introduce you to a whole new world of athletics, and you could do the same for her!
